Jap Tap Sewa Foundation is a women-led, legally registered non-profit organization committed to creating inclusive social impact across India. The foundation is registered as a Section 8 Company under the Companies Act, 2013, and also under the Punjab Trust Act, ensuring strong legal compliance, transparency, and ethical governance.

Founded and led by Charnjit Kaur and Narinder Kaur, Jap Tap Sewa Foundation reflects the belief that compassionate leadership and grassroots understanding are key to sustainable development. Supported by a dedicated team of volunteers, including Japjot Kaur as a key active volunteer, the foundation works with a strong focus on affordable healthcare, education, women empowerment, and environmental responsibility.

Driven by the guiding principle of “Sarbat Da Bhalla” — the welfare and well-being of all — the foundation is built on the belief that progress is meaningful only when it reaches the most underserved sections of society.

Healthcare Services – Core Focus Area

Healthcare remains the primary mission of Jap Tap Sewa Foundation. As a growing healthcare NGO in India, the foundation works to reduce the financial burden of medical treatment through affordable and accessible services.

Currently, the foundation operates a Charitable Pharmacy at its Head Office in Mohali, Punjab, where medicines are provided at 20% to 70% discounted rates, making it one of the most affordable charitable pharmacies in the region. The long-term vision is to expand such pharmacies across multiple cities in India to maximize healthcare access.

The foundation also facilitates blood tests and diagnostic services at up to 70% lower cost, including a special ₹950 “Sewa Package” covering a full body profile along with Vitamin D and Vitamin B12 tests. In addition, Doctor OPD consultations are available at just ₹50, ensuring that basic medical advice remains accessible to all.

Jap Tap Sewa Foundation is further working towards establishing a Charitable Dental Hospital equipped with advanced yet economical facilities to address the growing need for affordable dental care.

Education, Women Empowerment & Environment

In education, the foundation is in the process of setting up a Paramedical Institute offering short-term, job-oriented healthcare courses such as General Duty Assistant (GDA), at highly subsidized fees with job placement support.

As a women-led NGO, women empowerment is a natural pillar of the foundation’s work. Through a planned uniform and denim recycling initiative, women are provided with a learn-and-earn platform where they can generate income through stitching school bags, sleeping bags, and utility items for underprivileged communities.

Environmental responsibility is integrated through tree plantation drives, recycling initiatives, and awareness programs, with a focus on simple, scalable, and community-driven solutions.
