Charitable Dialysis Centre

“Sustaining Lives. Restoring Hope.”

1. Project Overview

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) has emerged as one of the fastest-growing health challenges, affecting individuals across all age groups. Patients diagnosed with advanced kidney disease often require regular dialysis to sustain life. However, the high cost of treatment, limited availability of dialysis facilities, long waiting periods, and the need for frequent hospital visits place an overwhelming financial and emotional burden on patients and their families.

Mission Jeevandhara is a flagship initiative of JAP TAP SEWA Healthcare Foundation dedicated to establishing a Charitable Dialysis Centre that provides affordable, accessible, and high-quality dialysis services to economically weaker patients and underserved communities. The Centre will be equipped with modern dialysis machines, trained nephrology professionals, infection-controlled treatment areas, emergency support systems, and patient counselling services to ensure safe and compassionate care.

Beyond dialysis treatment, Mission Jeevandhara will adopt a holistic approach to kidney care through early screening programmes, patient education, nutritional counselling, lifestyle management, psychosocial support, and timely referrals for advanced nephrology care when required.

The Centre is envisioned as a lifeline for individuals battling kidney disease by ensuring that financial limitations never become a barrier to receiving essential treatment. Through compassionate care, advanced medical infrastructure, and strategic partnerships, Mission Jeevandhara aims to improve survival, enhance quality of life, and restore hope for thousands of patients and their families.

2. Why This Project? (Need Assessment)

The growing incidence of diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and lifestyle-related disorders has led to a significant increase in kidney disease across the country. For patients with advanced kidney failure, dialysis is not an option—it is a necessity for survival. Missing or delaying dialysis sessions due to financial hardship or lack of access can lead to severe complications and even loss of life.

Many patients, particularly those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, are unable to afford regular dialysis treatment. In addition to treatment costs, they often face expenses related to travel, medicines, laboratory investigations, and loss of income due to repeated hospital visits. Rural communities frequently have limited access to dialysis facilities, forcing patients to travel long distances several times each week.

Mission Jeevandhara addresses this critical healthcare gap by providing affordable, high-quality dialysis services closer to the community. By integrating treatment with patient education, nutritional guidance, regular monitoring, and compassionate support, the project aims to reduce financial hardship, improve treatment adherence, enhance patient outcomes, and provide every individual with an opportunity to live with dignity and hope.
